Moving Day !!!

Ok so you are wondering what Moving Day has to do with quilting. My youngest daughter Stephanie moved into her dorm room at University of Tennessee today. I did well and didn't cry, but I still can't believe she is in college already. It was just yesterday that she was in kindergarten. The first thing she ask me was "do you have my T-shirt quilt finished yet mom", and of course I don't but am in the process of making it I will post pictures and maybe even a tutorial on making your T-shirt quilt very soon.

Happy Fourth of July!!

I hope that everyone had a great day celebrating with their family and friends. I spent the day sleeping late, eating good food with friends and of course quilting. I am finishing up a quilt I began YEARS ago when my youngest daughter was about 5 or so, now she is 18 and leaving for college tomorrow...she is taking summer classes. I am sending her away to UT with a pastel log cabin quilt for her dorm room.  Time to look at quilt mag. and fall asleep to the sound of fireworks everywhere.... We are blessed to live in a country where we can celebrate and worship God...like the shirt I made for a friend which said :

Faith    Family    Freedom.....

Grandson Time

After driving 5 hours I am finally holding my grandson.....Yeah! I will be finishing up some quilts I made for him in the next day or two and I will post pictures. I also will be posting pictures of things for sale that will be available soon. Lots of cute things.....be on the look out.

A Few things I have been working on

                                                         This is a quilt I made several years ago and now our youngest daughter will be going off to UT in the fall....GO VOLS ( lots of orange/white to come)

                                        This is on my design wall and I and thinking of using it in a quilt for my neighbor who is just so wonderful to us.

                                                        This is my first attempt at using my new machine....I LOVE IT. Made this for our neighbor just because.

Got a few things

I went to pick up my embroidery machine this evening YEAH !!!! I also got some Christmas fabric to start a pinwheel throw for Christmas. While I was at Joann's I got Camden some Charlie Brown Christmas fabric to make something not sure what just yet.

I was reading that Moda is coming out with a new line Amiella, I love the new colors and also my neighbor's granddaughter is named Amiella Mae I can't wait to make something out of that line. Well I hope to be getting better at this blogging thing, it is kinda fun.

It has been a long while.....

Ok, it has been a long time since I wrote anything. I have been busy with life. I got my sewing room almost put together and got a new to me embroidery machine I am excited about using it. I will be posting pictures of things I have made very soon. I plan on sewing all day tomorrow and then going to see cars2 with my hubby tomorrow night....a date yeah!!!!

I have finished three quilts for my grandson Camden I will post pictures tomorrow. Good night and my God bless you.
